The way this gun works is that when you pump the gun it loads a regulated amount of gas and air into the chamber and loads a ball. When the trigger is pressed there is a electrical spark that ignites the propane, thus propelling the ball.

This was not a very popular gun. Most lily that most people one of the most popular questions is "if I hold a lighter to the barrel will I get a flame thrower?" Answer NO. The Propane is burnt off when the trigger is pulled and there is no propane left behind.

There has been rumours of Tippmann making a semi auto version of this, but that is to be seen.
