The Sydarm was developed in 1992 specifically for police training. The design allowed for a compact, holsterable pistol that police officers could use in training just like their real weapons. AGD invested their own money to start a showcase police training facility net to their manufacturing plant in Illinois. For almost a decade, hundreds of police officers were trained using these Sydarms and water-filled paintballs. Only sold to the public for a short time, the inherent problems in shooting CO2 caused them to become a police only item the same year they were introduced. |
