Letter from Tim McMurray on VintageRex.com's Avenger That gun was the first PMI long barrel. It wasn't made for more than 6 weeks because we instantly made a centerfire bolt version of it that the facotry copied immediately after seeing it. These guns tended to break balls and they also had the problem of paint running down into the valve when you fired it with no CO2. The center fire bolt cured this problem. This gun has everything you could get at the time, Dial a welt, 12 gram Quik change, posi-feed, side air, Herrett grips and Delrin Pump. The base pistol is PMI-1 which was a ten shot gravity feed gun. Pellet CO2 pistols never had a long bottom tube. The PMI-1 later had a centerfire bolt and a bit longer barrel. We called it the Avenger. It was the first Factory long barrelled pistol. Later Tim |
