Para-Ordnance Mfg. Inc. was founded in 1985 by Ted Szabo with his friend, Thanos Polyzos. The Model 85 was the first offering of Para-Ordnance (now well knon for real guns)

Szabo, was the innovative president, gifted engineer and designer behind the Model 85.

Szabo passed away on Wednesday March 28, 2007 at the age of 60.
